EdenSpark Game Jam #1 Winners: Meet the Authors of the Best Games
The judges picked the top three, and the community chose their favorite — here's the story behind each of the four games.
The first monthly EdenSpark Game Jam on the theme of "Transformation" has reached its finale. The platform's jury carefully played through every submitted entry, and jam participants cast their votes for their favorite game in the Community Choice category. Today, it's time to meet the winners.
🥇 Dev's Choice I — Slime Shape
Prize: $2 250 — Author: teezaboo

A concise puzzle-platformer whose core mechanic turned out to be one of the real discoveries of the first jam.
"Slime Shape is a complete, fully shipped game that's genuinely fun to play. The core mechanic is a brilliant find — you could build a full puzzle-platformer around it and ship it commercially. The whole team got hooked on it." — EdenSpark Team
Visually the game is deliberately understated, and that did nothing to stop it from earning a confident first place: the jury praised its polish, completeness, and the rare quality of a jam mechanic that reads immediately as a product idea.
🥈 Dev's Choice II — CyberSlasher
Prize: $1 000 — Team: cyber3dartel (LOGEECK, kerliaa, SasMatress, arskvsh, Guslin_x, Supercellian, yltrokaban228pro)

A high-energy roguelike from a team of seven — and quite possibly the most visually ambitious project of the entire jam.
"This crew built a huge amount of 3D content, worked closely with us throughout the jam, and ended up creating an excellent stress test for Runtime GI. On the gameplay side, there's a solid core loop and even a minimal meta-layer — you have to clear the level and survive. They also did fantastic work with the world itself: it moves, it falls, it glows, it breathes. Our render programmers rated it highly — the game leans into the engine's advanced features." — EdenSpark Team
If you want to see what EdenSpark looks like in the hands of a strong 3D team, this is the best living example from the entire jam.
🥉 Dev's Choice III — Rhytm Cube
Prize: $750 — Author: F1ow

A solo project and unexpected dark-horse favorite — a simple rhythm cube that's surprisingly easy to lose yourself in.
"It's just satisfying to tap buttons in rhythm and chain combos — really, it becomes a competition with yourself. The game is fairly minimal, but somehow it ends up genuinely atmospheric. Special respect for the menu, which is already a tiny game in its own right. And the visuals are charming." — EdenSpark Team
A case where minimalism of form and a clear sense of rhythm carry more weight than a heavy art pipeline.
🏆 Community Choice — SubMind
Prize: $1 000 — Author: lookibed

A co-op puzzle for two players that the community placed unanimously at the top of the public vote. With a final score of 3.500 (using itch.io's formula, which factors in the median number of ratings per game) — it's the best result among all the jam entries according to the participants themselves.
"SubMind is a perfect example of a game you immediately want to call a friend over to play. A recognizable idea, careful execution, and you can tell the author bet on a clean, focused play experience. The community's vote really speaks for itself here." — EdenSpark Team
What's next for the winners
We'll reach out to the authors of all four games directly — via the contacts they provided in their itch.io submissions. If you're among the winners and haven't heard from us within a few days, give us a ping in Discord or Telegram and we'll get back to you.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the first jam — both those who made the top three and those who tried their hand for the very first time. Twelve games in two weeks on a brand-new engine is a result every author should be proud of.
And one more thing: good luck in the next EdenSpark jams. The page for the next jam will be published on itch.io very soon — now's the time to gather your team and get ready. But we're keeping the theme under wraps until June 1.
We can't wait to see you again — this time with a jam's worth of experience behind you.
