EdenSpark Game Jam #2 Theme — "Mass Control"
We're launching the second EdenSpark jam! Reminder: within the jam program with a total prize pool of $250,000, $5,000 is awarded for each jam. Both solo developers and small teams can participate, and games are created on the EdenSpark platform and published on itch.io.
Theme of the second jam
"Mass Control"
Mass control — literally, metaphorically, in any form your imagination can reach. It might be controlling crowds and large groups of people, manipulating the mass and weight of physical objects, gravity control, black holes, magnetism, inertia, density, the flow of liquids or granular bodies. Or it could be something entirely different: weight loss as core gameplay (yes, we're serious — or maybe not), managing cargo weight in a logistics puzzle, balancing lightness against heaviness, the influence of mass on movement physics, or something we haven't even thought of yet. The main thing is that the connection to the theme should be clear in the project's design and description.
Before the jam kicks off, we recommend checking out the latest platform updates: EdenSpark has added a solid set of tools that can noticeably affect how your project looks and feels — especially given the "Mass Control" theme, where physics, motion, and atmosphere often sit at the heart of the gameplay.
Dates: June 1–15. You have 2 weeks to create a playable version in EdenSpark, publish it on EdenSpark and itch.io, and submit your entry on the jam page. The winners of each jam are chosen by the EdenSpark team and participant voting, and at the program's grand finale the best projects will compete for the main prizes.
A small schedule change: we listened to feedback from the first jam and decided to give everyone a breather — and at the same time make each jam a bit more spacious. The next, third jam will start not right after the second one, but on August 1, and will run for a full month instead of the usual two weeks — more time to develop your ideas, rest between rounds, and tackle more ambitious projects. The total number of jams in the program stays the same — all 12 rounds and the full $250,000 prize pool are still on the table, the program will just stretch about six months longer. Details and the theme of the third jam will be announced closer to the date.
