EdenSpark Game Jam #3 Winners: The Elements Hand Out the Prizes
The judges picked the top three and the community chose their favorite. Meet the authors of the best entries of the third jam!
The third EdenSpark Jam on the theme of "Classical Elements" has reached its finale. 20 entries made it to the jam, the platform's jury played through every submitted project, and jam participants voted for their favorite in the Community Choice category. Meet the four winners.
🥇 Dev's Choice I — Space Alchemy
Prize: $2,250 — Author: Android & Son

A planetoid ecosystem sim where balancing the classical elements decides whether your little world survives or falls apart.
"The game beautifully captures the jam's theme. It's visually appealing and genuinely gripping — you're constantly on edge, having to balance the whole ecosystem. It took a few tries to stop making mistakes that would end a run, but once we found the balance between the core elements, growing our planetoid became a real joy." — The EdenSpark team
🥈 Dev's Choice II — Elemental Cycle
Prize: $1,000 — Author: teezaboo

A block puzzle where the elements affect one another — that interaction is where nearly all of the puzzle variety comes from.
"The mechanic of elements affecting one another was woven into the block-puzzle gameplay really naturally, and it adds a lot of variety. The result is a light, easygoing journey that's still genuinely hard to put down. In places we wished we could rotate a piece — but that's just one direction the game could grow in." — The EdenSpark team
🥉 Dev's Choice III — Penta Theatorum
Prize: $750 — Team "3D Artel MISIS": LOGEECK, A1r0n, B1sm00th, Morfia, Supercellian, Yitrokaban, mircal

A Souls-like built on hexagonal chess centered around the elements — an ambitious project from a team already familiar from previous jams.
"As always, team "3D Artel MISIS" delivers great art and atmosphere. The game feels genuinely ambitious in scope, which we respect. We especially loved the idea of Souls-like hexagonal chess built around the elements. The one snag: we ran into a lot of failed attempts trying to clear the first level with the hero we liked. It wasn't until we watched the game's own replay that we realized you can actually restart from the first level — that wasn't particularly clear — and that not every hero is equally suited for a first run. For future jams, we'd recommend putting more focus on the learning curve and balance: less content that's easy to grasp beats more content that takes hours to figure out." — The EdenSpark team
🏆 Community Choice — Aether Grid
Prize: $1,000 — Score: 2.429 — Author: bojlahg

A card game where the suits become the elements — the community's unanimous favorite of the jam.
"A great game — the energy and atmosphere are top-notch, and the jam's theme is woven elegantly into the card suits. The first time we tried it, it felt a bit overwrought, with a lot of rules to keep track of. But on a second attempt it became clear that each new rule is exactly what lets you push one level further, and overall the game has a pretty solid learning curve. Our suggestions are minor: polish the tutorials a bit, and maybe add progress saving so you don’t have to start from zero every time." — The EdenSpark team
What's next for the winners
We'll reach out to the authors directly via the contacts they provided in their itch.io submissions. If you're among the winners and haven't heard from us within a few days, give us a ping in Discord or Telegram and we'll get back to you.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the third jam — both those who made the podium and those who tried their hand at a new theme for the first time. 20 entries in a month is a great result for the program. We're planning a separate news post where we'll try to share feedback with every participant of the jam.
The fourth jam is on the horizon
A reminder: the fourth EdenSpark jam kicks off on October 1st and, like the third, will run for a full month. We'll announce the theme closer to the start.
